Paying for Good Health

chiropractic tips to avoid overuse injury

When it comes to your body, there is a price to pay to gain and retain good health. It’s a funny thing that we’re more willing to put in effort for things like work, family, or fun – but for ourselves? – to take better care of our own self? – that’s a different story.

EFFORT

For our body to function properly we need to eat and move and rest properly. We get so preoccupied with working to pay bills, or rushing to get places, but what about the 3 main jobs of a new baby? That’s almost all we need as adults. If we can’t eat, sleep, and poop then what’s the point of all that other stuff?

The one big addition to the baby duties is movement. We gotta move more, and in varied ways. So, yes, for good health there is a cost. And it takes some discipline and a bit of effort.

MONEY

There are some things we just can’t do for ourselves, and we need to pay someone else for their expertise. People tend to understand this when it comes to their cars, even if they’re not happy about it at first. But isn’t it worth it when your car is all fixed up or the oil is changed and it’s running smoothly?

WHAT? PAY MONEY FOR SOMETHING? That’s preposterous! We are so accustomed to getting apps for free or things like Netflix or gym membership for $9.99/month, and it has screwed up the way we think about money. Now the thought of spending over $10 for anything seems excessive. But look at how much value you are getting out of a single chiropractic visit!!! Dr. Favero is going to set aside 60 minutes for the first appointment and then 20-30 minutes on a regular visit to listen to your recent activites or pains, followed by hands on evaluation to determine what treatment to deliver that day for your best response and greatest likelihood of reaching a higher state of health. That’s a long sentence, but it’s a lot packed into one appointment.

DON’T SELL YOURSELF SHORT

You are totally worth it. Time to start treating yourself right and be more willing to put in that time & effort, for health’s sake.
