Posture Matters, Part 3 – Keeping It All In Line

rocks in balance, chiropractic posture discussion

Imagine working somewhere that involves the posture of looking down, using your hands in front of you, or sitting for hours at a time. If that describes your work, then you likely have some form of Upper Crossed Syndrome (learn more in previous post, PART 2).

WHAT CAN BE DONE?

At Favero Chiropractic, we deal with this kind of thing all the time. When you come to our clinic in North Ogden, Utah you will have a thorough examination and then Dr. Favero will explain his findings and point out what needs to be done to correct your posture.

This will involve chiropractic adjustments to the spine or the arms and legs to bring better movement and reduce your pains. You may receive additional therapies to reduce your muscle and nerve issues that are part of the overall problem.

Dr. Favero observes a patient’s posture as well as the way they walk, stand, and sit. He determines the most likely causes of their current complaints and then establishes a treatment plan to reduce their pain and restore the body’s proper movement.

This patient has the typical forward head (“anterior head carriage”) though the shoulders are in a fairly neutral position instead of pulled forward by tight pectoral muscles in the chest.

YOU’LL BE GLAD YOU CAME

Patients typically notice a difference after the very first visit, though it is normal to still have some pains during the initial phase of care as your postural conditions are being resolved. During the active phase of care you will be taught specific techniques and other home exercises to assist your everyday posture and bring about a long-lasting healing effect.

Although you may have dealt with these problems for years, you will finally experience the relief you need. Don’t hesitate to call us at 801.784.6306 or click here to make an appointment today!
